_{I shot this while enjoyed my cream tea in Devon, the birds were enjoying gathering up the crumbs on the cafe tables. I found it quite amusing watching the bird balance on the rope like a tightrope walker! I believe it is a chaffinch.

Nah, I often have to look them up for confirmation myself. I was just so sure about the chaffinch because I got a few good shots of one several days ago. The colors in the wingpattern, particularly the white, are often depicted as being pale, almost white; however, some are more colorful in appearance, almost like a siskin.
